About the event
CWGLA is honoring our Late Founder, Elise Woodson, vision and legacy. CWGLA, WSY, and the Elise Woodson fundraiser needs you to give and share our cause. We continue documenting our stories to educate, inspire, and leave an imprint in our world while sending students to college. We are excited to pass the torch onto our younger generations through the "We See You" (WSY) creative writing program. Our program includes: college scholarship awards, mentorship series, and our scholarship winners will be published authors in our upcoming Snapshots Volume Nine book. Growth is in the air with WSY.
This year our WSY program expanded to include Christopher D. Moore II. He is a multi-hyphenated artist: film producer, screenwriter, musician, and content creator. He aligned with us by providing mentorship with his "Do The Write Thing" 4-week workshop series to turn WSY-eligible applicant's stories into screenplays. Under Mr. Moore's industry experience and knowledge, our WSY writers continued to flourish. A combination of these stories with our Late Founder, Elise Woodson, and CWGLA writers will be featured at our scholarship fundraiser event.
